The Bears found their guy under center in Penix Jr.: C.

The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Michael Penix Jr., and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. With edge rusher, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.
