The Vikings cashed the board's mistake on Castro: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Sebastian Castro had no business being available in the 159th overall pick, and the Vikings did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
In pick 24 they get a centerpiece for the ground game at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick138
Rnd5
Quinshon Judkins
The board fumbled Quinshon Judkins all the way to Round 5, Pick 1, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick159
Rnd5
Sebastian Castro
Sebastian Castro in the 159th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
