The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Slaughter: B.

Somebody in the 64th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Jake Slaughter, the No. 42 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Colton Hood
A tidy little value on Colton Hood in Round 1, Pick 32, a step better than break-even. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick64 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
Taking Jake Slaughter in No. 64 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick96 Rnd3 Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton at the 96th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick211 Rnd6 Barion Brown
Barion Brown at slot 211 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
