Bub Thunder DRAFTING FOR THESteelers
Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

Larceny in pick 84 lands the Steelers a B, Tampa and all. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. T.J. Tampa, the No. 51 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 84th pick.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
JC Latham
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick51
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
Nice patience on Xavier Legette, who had no business lasting to the 51st overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick84
Rnd3
T.J. Tampa
T.J. Tampa at the 84th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick98
Rnd3
Renardo Green
Renardo Green in pick No. 98 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
