The 49ers lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the 49ers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

They are betting Van Pran proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The 49ers indulged a want in Stover while a need in wide receiver, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
