The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kool-Aid McKinstry fell into pick 63.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Talanoa Hufanga pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. Reaching for Vaki left real value on the table behind him.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.

Somehow Kool-Aid McKinstry was still sitting there in the 63rd pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Audric Estime in Round 3, Pick 25 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

A linebacker of that caliber at pick No. 91 is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

They paid up for Sione Vaki at slot 127 when waiting would have done the job. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
