The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They will need Allen to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Bullard. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
No drama and no debate, Caleb Williams went about where he belonged in pick 1. The roster fit checks out.
Pick9 Rnd1 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In slot 9 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value.
Pick75 Rnd3 Javon Bullard
Javon Bullard at pick No. 75 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick110 Rnd4 Tyrice Knight
No edge and no loss on Tyrice Knight in the 110th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick122 Rnd4 Kris Abrams-Draine
A straight-up fair deal on Kris Abrams-Draine at the 122nd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick146 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
They jumped the gun on Braelon Allen, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
