Somebody in pick 127 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Jake Majors, the No. 93 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They are betting Gillotte proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
