The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Bortolini lower, and that gap is the story.

Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, with Malik Nabers leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
