When a board-topper like Devin Neal slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
