The rest of the league had time to spare on Khristian Boyd; the Texans did not wait, grabbing him 51 spots ahead at pick No. 128.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Leveston pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
