You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Commanders did exactly that with Mikail Kamara in slot 71.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Golday at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
