You could see the war room lean forward. Tory Horton at the Round 5 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They will need Simpkins III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
