The search is over. The Commanders handed the keys to Michael Penix Jr., and the whole operation now runs on his development.

They will need Gould to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
