You can draft well and still miss the point. The Patriots did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. The bottom line is a respectable B.

On the needs board they went 1 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
