Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Ravens kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Ravens did exactly that with Sage Ryan in the 222nd overall pick. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Rucker. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tre Harris
In No. 30 they get a weapon on the perimeter. A real need, handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Josh Conerly Jr.
Josh Conerly Jr. in the 62nd overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick94 Rnd3 Kaimon Rucker
The board had Kaimon Rucker higher than pick 94, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jonah Monheim
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jonah Monheim. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick158 Rnd5 Jaishawn Barham
The board had cheaper options than Jaishawn Barham at the 158th pick, and it noticed. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick190 Rnd6 Tim Smith
Tim Smith at Round 6, Pick 30 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick222 Rnd7 Sage Ryan
They talked themselves into Sage Ryan at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. A minor itch, scratched.
