A costly weekend of dealing drags the Browns to a D.

The Browns lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

Adding Justin Fields by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. However the rest shakes out, Jordan at that price is a win they earned. On the needs board they went 9 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
