Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall

FutureA-
The Commanders got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Commanders shredded theirs for JJ Pegues. He came off 32 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick Analysis
Pick61
Rnd2
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at pick No. 61 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick85
Rnd3
Savion Williams
No drama and no debate, Savion Williams went about where he belonged in slot 85. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick122
Rnd4
Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at the 122nd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick128
Rnd4
Jah Joyner
Jah Joyner in pick 128 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick153
Rnd5
JJ Pegues
A big swing on JJ Pegues at No. 153, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick205
Rnd6
Thomas Fidone II
Thomas Fidone II in the 205th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245
Rnd7
Isaac TeSlaa
The board had Isaac TeSlaa higher than the Round 7 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
