Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Broncos.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Broncos did exactly that with Jordan Travis in pick No. 113. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. McClellan at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The back end got a real overhaul.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
