A costly weekend of dealing drags the Giants to a D-.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Amaris Williams in the 143rd overall pick, a good 49 spots before the room expected him.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Mincey pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. On the needs board they went 3 of 3, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
