Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for Scott: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Justin Scott, the No. 21 name on the board, stolen at slot 68. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Every board in the league had Foley lower, and that gap is the story. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
Value with a capital V on Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa in pick 22, a genuine coup. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick33 Rnd2 Leonard Moore
They read the board right and Leonard Moore was the payoff at pick No. 33. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick56 Rnd2 Trinidad Chambliss
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Trinidad Chambliss in Round 2, Pick 24. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick68 Rnd3 Justin Scott
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Justin Scott in No. 68, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick87 Rnd3 Greg Johnson
Greg Johnson at slot 87 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick123 Rnd4 Faletau Satuala
Steal is underselling it; Faletau Satuala at the 123rd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick125 Rnd4 Luke Reynolds
This one needs a full-page explanation: Luke Reynolds in the 125th pick, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick128 Rnd4 Brody Foley
Brody Foley at the Round 4 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick139 Rnd5 Brandon Inniss
They liked Brandon Inniss enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 5 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick162 Rnd5 Adon Shuler
They robbed the room for Adon Shuler here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick224 Rnd7 Payton Pierce
Good price on Payton Pierce in slot 224, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick243 Rnd7 Jake Guarnera
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jake Guarnera at pick 243. It fills a real need, too.
