More right than wrong for the Vikings, and a B- to prove it.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Vikings reached some 38 spots for Jalen Thompson, and value like that does not grow back.

The Vikings indulged a want in Ponds while a need in safety, tight end and other spots stayed open. Boston at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
