The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 55 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 97 like a gift left on the doorstep. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The back end got a real overhaul.
