The Vikings found their guy under center in McCarthy: D+.

The Vikings lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.

So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
