Larceny in No. 155 lands the Texans a B-, Warren and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Tyler Warren tumbling to the Texans in slot 155 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Stackhouse reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Harold Perkins Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get the heartbeat of the defense, and a steal at that.
Pick41 Rnd2 Tacario Davis
Tacario Davis slid further than he should have, and slot 41 is lovely value for the cornerback. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick56 Rnd2 Rod Moore
They went early on Rod Moore in the 56th overall pick, and the value did not follow. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick88 Rnd3 Nazir Stackhouse
A conviction pick on Nazir Stackhouse at Round 3, Pick 24 that the board grades a round light. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins at the 120th pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick155 Rnd5 Tyler Warren
They barely believed it either: Tyler Warren still on the board at pick 155. The roster fit checks out.
Pick216 Rnd7 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers at pick No. 216 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
