Call it larceny. Jermaine Burton sat on the board until slot 122, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
