A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bears to a B-.

Nobody else had Joey Slackman anywhere near pick 200. The Bears did, by 71 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

They banked enough surplus on Singleton to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
