There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Jalen Travis a full 55 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It lands right in the middle: a C-, no more, no less.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
