Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Chargers.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with Que Robinson in Round 4, Pick 23. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

Getting James where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
