The Elijah Roberts pick is the one that will follow the Bengals into the fall. They took him 91 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

The Williams value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. It is not that Burch is a bad player; it is that the Bengals had louder needs to answer first. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
