Quarterback settled, Maye in the fold, and a D for the Vikings. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Vikings shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.
The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, safety very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Drake Maye
In Round 1, Pick 3 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick42
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
A clean, defensible pick in slot 42 with a little surplus value in Xavier Legette. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick68
Rnd3
Chris Braswell
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Chris Braswell at No. 68. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
