The Bears did not so much draft Daequan Hardy as overpay for him, 79 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will answer for taking safety early while linebacker went begging. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
