The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Burton: A-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jermaine Burton, the No. 56 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 91. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Bullock pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, running back and other spots still on the board.
They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
