The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Wyatt Milum, the No. 35 name on the board, sitting there at the 235th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
