FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Picks Received

Players Gained
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA
NeedB-
TradesB+
FutureB-
Harris should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B. The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tre Harris fell into Round 7, Pick 18.
Reaching for Hawes left real value on the table behind him. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Walter Nolen
In slot 24 they get a load in the middle at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at pick No. 50 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick92
Rnd3
Jahdae Barron
They will replay Jahdae Barron at the 92nd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick97
Rnd3
Armand Membou
Armand Membou in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick136
Rnd4
Jihaad Campbell
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jihaad Campbell in Round 4, Pick 35, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick137
Rnd4
Josaiah Stewart
Josaiah Stewart at the 137th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick157
Rnd5
Zy Alexander
Circle this one: Zy Alexander at No. 157 is a fall that decides a draft. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick161
Rnd5
Azareye'h Thomas
Steal is underselling it; Azareye'h Thomas at pick 161 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick173
Rnd5
Dylan Fairchild
A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick 173 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick178
Rnd5
Jake Majors
Somehow Jake Majors was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 39, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick187
Rnd6
Jackson Hawes
They reached a country mile for Jackson Hawes at the 187th pick, and the board is aghast. It fills a real need, too.
Pick212
Rnd6
Elijah Arroyo
They robbed the room for Elijah Arroyo here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick236
Rnd7
Tre Harris
Taking Tre Harris in No. 236 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
