Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bengals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

The Eichenberg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Worthy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
