Mamba DRAFTING FOR THEBears

FutureB-
The Bears bet the future on Williams. The board says B. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The McKinstry value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In Round 1, Pick 1 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value.
Pick14
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In No. 14 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45
Rnd2
Kool-Aid McKinstry
Kool-Aid McKinstry in the 45th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick75
Rnd3
Malachi Corley
Malachi Corley is a better player than the 75th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick122
Rnd4
Blake Fisher
A reasonable price with a little left over, Blake Fisher in pick No. 122. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
