Draft Grade — Texans
Overall

FutureB-
The Texans won the night they stopped Anderson from sliding. Grade: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Aaron Anderson had no business being available in the 220th pick, and the Texans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
If Bowry pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In the 28th pick they get a mismatch in the passing game, outstanding value to boot.
Pick38
Rnd2
Peter Woods
Peter Woods in the 38th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick59
Rnd2
Chase Bisontis
A reasonable price with a little left over, Chase Bisontis in Round 2, Pick 27. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick69
Rnd3
Jadarian Price
Value with a capital V on Jadarian Price in pick No. 69, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick106
Rnd4
Jude Bowry
A wild overpay on Jude Bowry in the Round 4 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick141
Rnd5
Hezekiah Masses
Hezekiah Masses in pick 141 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick167
Rnd5
Bryce Boettcher
Bryce Boettcher at slot 167 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick220
Rnd7
Aaron Anderson
They barely believed it either: Aaron Anderson still on the board at No. 220. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
