Thirty-one other rooms let Quinn Ewers slide, and the Jets were the ones holding the card at the Round 5 slot. Highway robbery. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
