Draft Grade — Titans
Overall

FutureA+
The Titans won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Titans spent pick No. 67 on Kaytron Allen, a name most had 36 spots down the list. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
Getting Brailsford where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Antonio Williams and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick35
Rnd2
Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick61
Rnd2
Joshua Josephs
Joshua Josephs in Round 2, Pick 29 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick67
Rnd3
Kaytron Allen
Kaytron Allen in No. 67 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick93
Rnd3
Parker Brailsford
Parker Brailsford at pick 93 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick103
Rnd4
Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. in the 103rd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick181
Rnd6
Barion Brown
This one needs a full-page explanation: Barion Brown in slot 181, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Pick204
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
A straight-up fair deal on Trey Zuhn III at Round 6, Pick 28, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick252
Rnd7
Riley Mahlman
Riley Mahlman in pick No. 252 lands just on the right side of the ledger. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
