The 49ers bet big and early on Thor Griffith, 63 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

They banked enough surplus on Hunter to cover a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Adding Tyler Guyton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
