Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Trey Amos, the No. 50 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 7, Pick 6. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Every board in the league had Egbuka lower, and that gap is the story.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
