Nobody dealt better than the 49ers this weekend: B+. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Xavier Truss at No. 252, a reach of 43 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. Walker falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Adding Caelen Carson by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
