The Bears clearly saw something nobody else did in Sedrick Van Pran, taking him 24 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Johnson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The A.J. Epenesa pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
