The Dolphins clearly saw something nobody else did in Patrick Payton, taking him 157 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Landing Allar that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
