Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Bills won the night they stopped Mondon Jr. from sliding. Grade: B+.

Call it larceny. Smael Mondon Jr. sat on the board until pick 127, and the Bills did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Bills clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 James Pearce Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a double-digit-sack hope. A real need, handled.
Pick88 Rnd3 Tyleik Williams
Tyleik Williams at slot 88 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick119 Rnd4 Jake Majors
Somehow Jake Majors was still sitting there in No. 119, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick127 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
Smael Mondon Jr. at Round 4, Pick 26 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick203 Rnd6 Gunnar Helm
The board fumbled Gunnar Helm all the way to the 203rd pick, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick207 Rnd6 Jared Wilson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jared Wilson in pick No. 207. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
