Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureB
The phones sank the Vikings this weekend: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Vikings shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Sweat left real value on the table behind him. The Mitchell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The veteran additions, Isaac Seumalo chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Brock Bowers
In the 13th pick they get a mismatch in the passing game at fair value.
Pick37 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat in Round 2, Pick 5 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick42 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
Quinyon Mitchell is a better player than No. 42 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick84 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
A tidy bit of business in pick 84, where Cooper Beebe graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
