You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Texans did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

They are betting Eichenberg proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Getting Bethune where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
