The 49ers did not so much draft Jalin Conyers as overpay for him, 123 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

The Bowman Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
