Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB+
The Seahawks left with their quarterback, and a B+ to match. The search is over. The Seahawks handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
Landing Dixon that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Bo Nix
In slot 20 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
Pick78
Rnd3
Braden Fiske
They paid sticker price for Braden Fiske in No. 78, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick83
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick118
Rnd4
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson at pick No. 118 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick132
Rnd4
Jaheim Bell
No drama and no debate, Jaheim Bell went about where he belonged in the 132nd pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick134
Rnd4
Johnny Dixon
Johnny Dixon slid further than he should have, and pick 134 is lovely value for the cornerback. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick154
Rnd5
Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen slipping to the 154th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick157
Rnd5
Zion Tupuola-Fetui
They liked Zion Tupuola-Fetui enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 5, Pick 21. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick194
Rnd6
Andrew Raym
Nothing to complain about; Andrew Raym went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick198
Rnd6
De'Corian Clark
Fair-plus on De'Corian Clark, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick236
Rnd7
Nathaniel Watson
They did well to land Nathaniel Watson in the 236th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
